As a qualified teacher and professional artist, I have enjoyed teaching students watercolours in flowers and landscapes for 25 years now and feel very lucky and privileged to have been able to do something for the majority of my working life thatI have enjoyed so much. Meeting and working with groups of people from all walks of life has been a very enriching experience that never fails to make me realise how lucky I am.
I am a member of the Society of Botanical Artists also the Society of Floral painters and exhibit with them in the yearly exhibitions and other venue throught the year. I have won various awards including the Founder Presidents Honour for the SBA and the Chairmans Trophy for the SFP. My work is displayed in the Lincolnshire Gallery for you to see the painting techniques I will be teaching during workshops.
I also have written four books and recorded 2 DVD's which are available at the Gallery and all good bookshops. I have been contacted from all over the world by people who have enjoyed using them to further their painting skills, so writing them has been a very rewarding experience. Many of my paintings are published as cards worldwide, and can be found in many of the shops also as fine art prints. Janet is currently writing her new book 'How to Draw Wild Flowers' which will be published in August 2010.
